Now I only recently established that you can actually wear nice things to work. I used to consistently wear a plain boring top with black trousers- of which I’m not a huge fan of. I find there’s something about black trousers which are a little dull to me. Maybe if they have an embellishment of some sort I’ll go for them, but usually I like to mix it up. Recently I dug out of my wardrobe an ever so original black pencil skirt with white floaty blouse so a simple chic look for work.
A skirt seems to make just that little bit of difference to me than the plain black trousers. Maybe it’s a big edition of the legs. I have a LOT of legs. Or maybe it’s the shape they give me. I like the figure hugging shape around my hips and legs. I feel this is a good look for me.
The skirt, from Yours Clothing is £19 and goes with any top you wish to pair it. I like to wear my skirts quite high waisted so it is actually a little longer than this but I could do with a little more length as I’m a tall girl. The top is from Tesco’s F&F but I purchased it a few years ago, so here’s a similar top from Simply Be. No Shrinking Violet
Although I’m aware some may be thinking what a boring outfit, yes it’s black and white (ME LOVES). But it’s simple and sometimes that’s exactly what you need for work.
I paired it with some white heels I got from RJR John Rocha at Debenhams similar here.
I’d apologise that the photos are darker, but this was about 7am, you should be impressed I have lipstick on.
What do you wear for work?
