After a successful weekend shopping in Leeds, I have been desperate to blog a few of my new items. As you know from my previous post , I’ve fallen head over heels for these delightful bell/flute sleeves popping up in our shops. Zara released a grey knit with beautiful sleeves about a month ago but I held off, hoping other stores would jump onto the trend. Primark have done just that, and successfully released an affordable, comfortable knit. Pair this with any jeans and you’ve got yourself a winner. I was also desperate to include my Yeezys in a post.
Fortunately for us bloggers, the days are getting lighter and thus comes the sun for photographs. Some of these photos may be a little bright, but I’m totally digging the contrast against the graffiti background. Did I just blow my own trumpet? CHA.
Top: Primark (£12 I may add!)
Trainers: Yeezy Boost V2 350 ‘Bred’ by Adidas
The top itself is a lovely soft brush cotton material, that doesn’t itch the skin. It also has a bit of give in it which is very welcome to me as I tend to like my cake. I’ve got this in a 16 and to me the fit is just right. I probably could have opted for a 14 for a slimmer fit but this wasn’t the look I was going for. I am No Shrinking Violet
The sleeves have a small elastic part just below your wrists. Not to fear, this isn’t tight and just pulls the top in to gather for the bell effect. I could probably do with the sleeves being a little longer if I’m totally nit picking. However I do have long limbs, and I struggle to get the right arm length in many items! If you’re wanting to get your hands on a top like this, pop into your nearest Primark and go for a little rummage! If you’d rather not, I’ve seen Bethany (Arched Eyebrow) wearing a beautiful M&S Funnel Neck top similar to this. IT’S ALSO AVAILABLE IN BLUSH (praise be!)
I’ve paired this with skinny black jeggings here, which again have a nice comfortable stretch on them. I’ve also worn this top with blue jeans, but find the black pops the top a bit more. If you’re wanting some black jeggings, I’d highly recommend these from Yours Clothing. Not only do they have a lot of ‘give’ but they’re not see through. A big plus in my book. Finally, the beloved sacred Yeezys that I’ve tried to obtain every release are now in my possession. After my husband copped a pair in previous releases I have been (impatiently) waiting for my turn. The ‘Bred’ colour combo is perhaps my favourite yet. Being such a simple colour combination, it’s sure to suit a lot of my outfit choices. I was pleasantly surprised with the boost, which really does make me feel like I’m jumping around as I casually walk down the street.
As you may or may not know, I recently became on of the Bloggers chosen for the ‘Be the Blogger’ competition with Yours Clothing. So expect some delights coming up soon featuring some of the hidden gems from their stores.
