Keeping things minimal- Tribal Print

I’m the type of gal who likes to keep accessories to a minimum. I have no idea why as I’m often caught gushing at other’s fabulous chandelier earrings or colourful necklaces. I suppose I like to keep my style pretty minimalistic. So when styling up an outfit I try not to dwell too much on too many accessories, a good outfit/a key piece is all that I need. If you like to style up then that’s wonderful too- it’s each to their own! Yours Clothing sent me this black dress to style my own way and have also sent to Charl, Laura, Kat and Gloria so I am sure we are going to get a mix of styles and some fabulous ideas for our wardrobes. Maybe I’ll even be inspired to invest in some more accessories. This minimal outfit is my go to.

This Black Dress with trumpet sleeves is perfect for meetings in an office and even popping out for drinks afterwards. I’ve paired it with leggings for the reason that I’m tall and also clumsy. I’d prefer not to flash my bum but you may feel differently about that (I thank you). Leggings give me a little more security when dresses aren’t quite long enough for me to be a ‘proper’ dress.

As this dress is black, oh how I love you, It goes with everything. I paired it with my Elvi tribal print coat (old season) to pop some colour and warm up the look a little. I further did this by adding a tan leather bag from Yours Clothing with some cheeky tassles to compliment the trumpet sleeves. My mules are Yours Clothing too, and if you follow my social you’ll have seen me discuss how comfortable they are (and the perfect height!)

Finally, is any summery day complete without a pair of sunnies? You’ll see these ones in my previous post and I’ve been wearing them daily as I feel fabulous in them- why shouldn’t I?

How would you style up a dress like this? A pair of heels? Some bright accessories? I’d love to hear below.

Oh you beauty! I love the trumpet sleeves and tribal print, there is something very 70s about it.
