Why Orange is the New Pink

If you’ve read any of my fashion posts, then you’ll know I’m not one for reaching for bright colours. Typically you’ll find me in muted tones, or denim. I’d like to change this now. I’ve found that when I wear brighter colours my mood reflects it. I’m not saying this is the solution to any low moods, but it’s certainly helped me. I seem to have a spring in my step and a smile on my face in summery clothing. I’m also a huge fan of the lovely compliments people give. Here’s a gorgeous Orange number I’ve sported recently that makes me feel like a giant wotsit. Tbh, I’m all for it.

This Orange Jumpsuit from Next is an absolute Summer must have. Not only is it extremely colourful, it’s light and breezy for those hot summer days. I’m wearing a size 16 here and I’d say it’s true to size, giving my a little room in the middle for those yummy ice creams lurking this time of year.

The length is spot on, hitting me below the knee. It’s a win for us gals who can’t be bothered to shave above the knee. Can I get an AMEN sister?

If you’ve been at all following the fashion trends then you’ll know all things basket are in. I borrowed this of my lovely friend Emma, who also took these photographs. You can pick one up very similar on eBay for a fraction of the cost of the full priced Zara wonders.

I take a little vow to myself to purchase more bright colours from now on. If you can’t tell from the photographs my smile was absolutely radiating in this. Or maybe it was just the sun.

Do you have a colour that you pop in?
