As spring seems to have finally hit our delightful country, I can finally dig out the spring (and even summer) clothes. I’m all for dresses and cute skirts in this season. My Maxi dresses are already on standby waiting for the perfect day. However, it’s lovely to delve into a different cut of dress and this one is another style for me. I’ve spoken about Tessies before and luckily for both you and me, they have some new in items. This Grey Carnations Dress would be a beautiful piece for a wedding, it’s light weight, soft fabric and wraps beautifully on the side. Hello to the mamas who breastfeed, we’ve found you a match.
Grey Carnations Dress: Tessies
Although the dress is initially designed to tie at the back I’ve pulled the ties round the front as I am all about that cute bow detail!
Unfortunately if you’re tall this one may not be a dress for you. It fit me more like a long top, which worked well with white jeans as pictured. Maybe it’s the modest mama in me, but just a tad short for this lass! I’m 5 ft 10 and was at risk of exposing the city of Hull if I wore this as a dress. But the cut and shape of the dress was absolutely perfect and for anyone 5 ft 7 and under it would be the most gorgeous length.
I’ve paired it here with some old season Tessies sunglasses. Purely because the pink seemed to be perfect to compliment the grey/blue colour of the dress. You could even add to this look with a little maroon lip for the ultimate classic aesthetic.
What’s your favourite part of the Spring season? I’m not sure if for me it’s the smell of freshly cut grass, being able to get 3 lots of washing dry in one day or the beautiful spring clothes.
