When it comes to a Spring time wedding, the weather can be a little unpredictable. Some days you can get beautiful sunshine, other days rain or even snow. I’ve been to a few weddings over the past 5 years and a handful of them have been in springtime. It’s such a beautiful time of the year to get married with hope of the horizon of a prosperous year ahead. If you’re going to be a wedding guest at a wedding very soon, then I’ve written this guide of the perfect five wedding outfit ideas to help you come up with your key look whatever the weather.
1: The Classic Dress
You can’t go wrong with a dress for a wedding season. I would personally choose a midi or maxi dress this time of year just to give you a little bit of additional cover. I like to go for a slightly structured dress. You can however use my super-secret tip of wearing horse riders tights if you’re wanting to wear thick thermal leggings underneath that are skin coloured and fleece lined! Go for florals, as in the words of Miranda Price ‘Florals for Spring? Groundbreaking’.
The two piece suit
Suits are in. If you’re wanting to hone the power suit then now is the best time. Guess what, they’re not just for men. You can get a variety of gorgeous suits for women in a huge amount of colours now. I’d be going for a pale pink suit if it were me and maybe doing a Wedding Photo Swap with a couple of guests to make sure I captured the moment! Team this suit up with your favourite clutch bag and you’re onto a winner.
The Skirt and Top
Who said a skirt and a top has to be basic? You can go full Carrie Bradshaw in this moment if you like with a tulle skirt, a gorgeous beaded top and prom hair styles if you really want to. You’ll be feeling good and looking glorious. Just remember to pack a shawl or faux fur shrug if the weather is a little iffy that day.
The Neutral Blouse and Trousers
If you’re not quite feeling ready for a power suit yet but would prefer to wear trousers, then you can team up some neutral colour trousers with a beautiful blouse in neutral tones for a really earthy look.
Finally, one of the key trends for last year’s fashion was the co ord. This can be a variety of combinations of trousers and tops or skirts and tops. I love to go for the wide leg high waist trousers and crop top when it comes to a co-ord. I feel it makes a statement that can be perfectly matched with heels. Team it up with a kimono or a blazer for if the weather changes.
I hope this little breakdown has helped you plan your look. Remember, whatever you go with, wear your smile with confidence and you’ll feel absolutely fabulous! Enjoy!
