Just like the rest of your house, sometimes your bedroom can really benefit from a bit of a refresh and revamp. You can go wild and spend hundreds of pounds on new things if you’ve got the means, but it’s perfectly possible to have a great bedroom refresh even without much of a budget.

Clean
This might seem obvious to some, but giving your bedroom a really thorough deep clean can be the absolute best way of giving it a great refresh. If you use standard cleaning supplies that you already have, you can really freshen things up without having to spend a single penny!
-
New Bedding
It is amazing how much a new bedding set can change the feel of a room! For most people, the bed is the centrepiece in a bedroom, so the bedding you choose to use is an important aspect of the room aesthetic. By simply getting yourself a new set of bedding, you can make your bedroom feel fresh and totally revamped. If you’re working with a small budget, keep an eye out for things you like in seasonal sales, seconds sales, and even on selling sites like Vinted!

New Soft Furnishings
Updating your soft furnishings is an effective way of updating any space in your house, and your bedroom is no exception. Go on the hunt for some new blankets, cushions, and curtains online or in your local charity shops to see if you can snag a bargain that will change the whole vibe of your bedroom.

New Storage Solutions
Most bedrooms really benefit from having at least one storage solution, and sometimes upgrading your current storage solution can do absolute wonders for a bedroom. Consider purchasing a new wardrobe or set of drawers which will help you to organise and declutter your space, and give your room a fresh feel with a lovely new piece of furniture. I recently upgraded my storage solutions to include a new chest of drawers from Vonhaus * and it’s made the room feel refreshed and decluttered!
These drawers were sent to me as a pr sample and were relatively straight forward to put together. Unfortunately, my drill has broken, so I did the whole thing with a screwdriver meaning it took me a little longer. The instructions were super clear and it fitted together beautifully. I’ve found it lights up the whole space and creates a more coherent storage solution within our home.

Upcycle
Take a good look around your space and see if there is anything you can upcycle. By being creative, you can save things from going into landfill unnecessarily, and you can create new focal pieces to adorn your space with. Cracked mirror? Invest in some inexpensive stickers designed to cover up cracks in creative ways. Old vase that you’ve fallen out of love with? Get crafty and paint it in your favourite colour!
I picked up the following stickers from Etsy to hide a crack within my mirror that would otherwise have cost me £250 to replace. Now that’s a great way to save and add a little character!
