Every now and then we may feel the need to make a little change, small alteration to our appearance. Whether this be lip fillers, a new hair style or those HD brows you’ve lusted over for months, it can be a very positive thing. When HairTrade offered to send me some new hair extensions to refresh my look I was all in. You can read all about my experience below.
Now, I’ll confess I’m no stranger to hair extensions. I’ve tried clip ins, tape ins and micro loops. Favouring the two latter options for the longevity of them (plus who wants to faff with clips? Am I right?) This time, I was going for micro loops, my old favourite. They give a full natural head of hair without the damage (I recommend having them applied safely by a qualified professional). They can last up to 3 months before having to have them refitted dependant on your hair growth and can be reused if you keep the hair in good nick.
The hair sent to be from HairTrade was LONG. so long when I first applied I was like CRIKEY RAPUNZEL. Anyhoo, I realised shortly after that even when opting for long hair they send you another two inches. So that you won’t lose length (and the pounds you’ve paid for them) when you have your hair trimmed and styled to shape. I actually cut a bit more off than this to achieve a more natural look, but it’s good to know your money is secure on length.
I’ve had the hair in for a few weeks now and so far so good. No tangling, hair remains in good condition and I’ve adapted to having them in. They feel like my natural hair and have blended beautifully.
Tell me, have you ever tried hair extensions?
