AD: This post is a collaboration with Desenio to spark a little more light into my entrance way, all words and opinions are my own.
When it comes to the home, if you’re fortunate enough to have a hallway/entrance way then you’ll know that this is one of the most used spaces in the home. Our hallway is constantly a mess of leaves, mud from the bottom of the buggy and piled up shoes from the week that’s passed. So I thought it would be really lovely to try and breathe a little bit of light back into my entrance way and here are my tips for you to do the same!
Refresh your prints/Add a gallery wall
When it comes to the walls of your entrance way, you want to make a statement about your home. For me, I was going for the ever to gentle yet classy black and white style that I love so much. I feel like it adds a really lovely, calm atmosphere to the home and when we’re coming and going from the house it’s nice to return to this warm, welcoming environment.
I have got most of the posters in my house from Desenio, as it’s incredibly easy to use their website to create your dream wall using their ‘gallery wall‘ tool, they ship to countries worldwide and have something for EVERY style. I’m not kidding, you name it they have it, they even have a new Christmas Holiday collection that is full of prints if you fancy going ALL out to deck the halls!
Add some artistic flair
If you follow me on instagram, then you’ll know that I recently painted a semi-circle onto the wall of my hallway. I did this to frame the unit we have in there and felt it added a lovely ‘Glenton’ touch to it that you may not find in other homes. If you fancy giving this a go simply tie a piece of string around a pencil the length you’d like, pin the other end into the wall and draw your outline. Go carefully along the edge with a fine paint brush and roller the rest.
When in doubt, add plants
If you have any doubts, a bit of greenery always helps. Now your entrance way is unlikely to get vast amount of sunlight so please choose your plants wisely (or go artificial!) I love the few we have in our hallway and feel it really warms up the space.
Remember if you really do love the way I’ve decorated the walls, it would also be an AMAZING gift for Christmas, did you know Desenio sells gift cards too?!
What do you think to my revamped hallway?

Oh I love your hallway. I feel very lucky that we have a hallway in our apartment and it’s super long. We are in the process of creating a huge gallery wall and so far we have all our wedding pictures on one side. I love Desenio, you really can’t go wrong and there is something for everyone. Great read 🙂
