*This post is sponsored, however, all thoughts, opinions and hilarious date ideas are my own.
Over the past year we’ve been repeatedly put in and out of lockdown. It can really impact every aspect of your life and the one thing I’ve been trying to keep on top of is my personal relationships. Given that Joe & I have been together for 11 years this year, we’ve probably been on every type of date, and to keep things interesting I’ve been looking into ways we can make ‘Lockdown dating’ a fun end to our week. So what do you need to know before we get started?
Well, firstly pick a good night for you. A night where you can take your time, doll yourself up if you like, take that time to undertake the following activities I’ve listed and if you’re a parent… wait till the kids are in bed. This time is for YOU and only you. Whether you’re doing some cheeky online virtual dating or a seasoned pro with your partner then I have got you covered!
Painting/Art Sketch
This is the first listed because a) I think it’s absolutely hilarious, and b) it’s possible to do over virtual dates! Yup, whether you’re dating in Hull or into Derbyshire dating you can get involved! All you need is a pencil and a piece of paper. But if you’re feeling REALLY fancy then you can grab an easel, paints or your favourite art medium and GO TO TOWN. Make sure you’re wearing a cute painting apron!
Cook with me
Now this is probably the most frequented date activity that Joe & I take. During the week, we’re usually quite tired by the end of the day and have often stuck something in the slow cooker or resorted to something out the freezer. However, on a weekend, it’s totally different. We pull out our pasta machine and take the time to make fresh pasta, fresh sauce and create wonderful culinary treats for us! We absolutely love cooking together and it’s really helped us build on our relationship. Best of all, you can actually undertake online cooking classes if you’re solo… you never know, you might meet someone who takes your fancy.
Host a Movie Night
Did you know Netflix has an extension so that you can watch films alongside each other at the same time? Netflix and chill just found an all new meaning and I’m totally here for it. Whether you’re participating in this through the internet or in person, be sure to wear your fanciest dress OR comfiest clothing, best lipstick and crack out the popcorn, treats and a bottle of wine. Oh and make sure you grab a blanket and cosy up, this date idea
So go on! Tell me which one you’ll be trying for your next date night because I am definitely re-living our painting one again next time.Or perhaps you’ve got some better ideas! If you do drop me a comment below so that everyone can try them out!

I didn’t know about that Netflix thing! Not for a date night with my fiancé but a girls night in would be fab with that! Milli x – http://www.millidavison.co.uk
