Hull is amazing for millions of reasons, but one of those reasons is the incredible selection of top quality places to eat and drink. Whatever your budget is, and whatever your dietary requirements are, there will be something amazing that caters to you, quite literally! Here are three fantastic independent eateries to get you started on your foodie tour of Hull…
- Zoo Café, Newland Avenue
A vegetarian hideaway nestled just off Newland Avenue, Zoo is a must-try spot. Although it’s been open for many, many years, it’s had extensive renovations fairly recently, making it a really special place for a breakfast or lunch retreat. You’ll find all kinds of vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu, and they’re all so delicious that you might have to get more than one to try! On top of the amazing food and décor, the staff are simply wonderful and will make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in the door.
- Milchig, Paragon Arcade
If you enjoy an indulgent treat every now and again then this is the place for you. Milchig offer not only the most spectacular cookies and baked treats, but also the most decadent drinks imaginable. Particularly amazing is the Milchig hot chocolate which is so thick and creamy that you could eat it with a spoon. It’s topped with fired meringue, making it the most amazing treat that you simply must try when you’re in the area!
- Flour and Feast
Head to Humber Street for a trip to Flour and Feast which is a wonderful coffee shop come bakery. You’ll be able to enjoy a drink and pastry while watching the general goings on of the bakery. There’s always a fine selection of baked goods on offer as well as sandwiches, so you’ll be able to enjoy something delicious whatever your preference is! Don’t forget to buy a baguette or two on your way out!
Hope you’ve taken a bit of inspiration for some eateries in Hull!
