Things are getting autumnal! The leaves are starting to change colour on the trees and the coffee shops are stocking up on all things pumpkin spice – but what can we do at home to truly embrace the autumn season and make the most of it?
-
Get the blankets out
Blankets are underrated. Not only do they provide the perfect aesthetic for your home all autumn (and winter for that matter), but they also help with those pesky heating bills by keeping us toasty warm, even when the nights are chilly! Whether you have a pile of velour blankets or some chunky knit throws, get them out and scatter them all over your home.
-
Light the autumnal candles
Autumn is the perfect time to dim the lights and light a few candles. Make sure you do so safely, and the warm fuzzy glow that candles give off will provide heaps of autumnal atmosphere. Remember to never leave your candles unattended!

Indulge in some autumn nails
If you’re someone that likes to have their nails done, indulge in a theme this autumn. If you’re a fan of spooky season then why not get some Halloween nails done?
-
Bake something
Nothing makes a home feel cozy quite like the smell of baking. No matter what your skill level, you can get into the kitchen and make something. If you’re a total amateur then head to the shop and simply buy a box of cake mix – it’s great fun and the whole house will smell amazing!

Decorate for the season
Decorating for the season is super simple to do and is a great way to get in the mood for autumn. You can keep things as simple as you like or go all out, the choice is yours and it’ll be fun whatever you decide. Why not buy a few pumpkins to dot around the house, or perhaps try your hand at making an autumn wreath or garland?
