At the time of writing this I am one month short of turning 30 years old. That’s thirty turns around the sun, and what do I show for it? A wonderful family, a cute dog, a lovely little corner of the internet, a safe and warm home, and more. When it comes to what I’d like to gain out of my 30th birthday, I’m still working it out. So I thought I’d write this blog to work my way through the thought process. Follow me along for the ride, won’t you?
Time
It’s funny how when we’re younger we want a new coat, the latest toy or shiny, new makeup and such. Whilst I still want some of those things, the real thing I want is time. Time to share with my loved ones and people who are like sunshine. Time to dedicate to the activities and hobbies I love. Time is a gift, and I wish to experience as much of it as possible.
Balance
For the past several months I’ve lost my footing. I’ve worked too many hours and spent less time finding a good balance between play and work. From now on, I hope to re-balance the scales and work on me, find that balance and getting my full stride back.
Joy
I want to experience joy in all it’s forms. Joy from love, joy from food, joy from experiences. I will be sure to maximise the joy in my 30s and go forth!! When I started using the #smalleverydayjoy I really started to realise how vital this golden feeling is, and I want to make sure I find it every single day.
Wish me luck on this new venture! If you’re turning 30 soon, what is it you’re focussing on for this decade? Let me know in the comments.
