The Cheapest Times to Book Disneyland Paris

A trip to Disneyland Paris is a dream for many families, couples and Disney fans across the UK. But while the magic is constant, the prices certainly aren’t. It is a holiday that ultimately lots of people save up for and it is ironically… a dream trip. Knowing when to book can make a significant difference to the overall cost of your holiday and as an ex-travel agent, I spent many a time scrolling websites looking for the best deals.

If you’re flexible with your dates, you could save hundreds of pounds simply by choosing the right time of year. Here’s everything you need to know about the cheapest times to book.

Mid-January to Mid-March (Excluding Half Term)

One of the most affordable periods to visit is from mid-January through to mid-March, once the Christmas season has finished and before the Easter holidays begin.

Why it’s cheaper:

• Post-Christmas lull in tourism

• Colder weather

• Fewer school holidays across Europe

This period often offers:

• Lower hotel rates (especially on-site Disney hotels)

• Discounted package deals

• Shorter queue times

Avoid UK February half term if possible, as prices rise noticeably during that week but if you can go a couple days before, you’ll find a nice hybrid price. I last visited just 2 days before February half term and saved hundreds of pounds doing this and will be doing this again!

Mid-April to Mid-May (Between Easter and Summer)

After the Easter holidays and before summer begins, prices tend to dip again.

Why it’s a good option:

• Mild spring weather

• Lighter crowds compared to peak summer

• More ride availability (as winter refurbishments are usually complete) and less maintenance

This is often considered one of the “sweet spot” periods: reasonable pricing combined with pleasant conditions.

Late September to Mid-October (Before Halloween Peaks)

Early autumn is another excellent value window. Once European summer holidays have ended and before Halloween season ramps up fully, prices often drop.

Keep in mind:

• October half term in the UK pushes prices up again

• Halloween events themselves can increase demand

If you travel in late September or very early October, you’ll typically see some of the best off-peak pricing.

Midweek Stays Are Cheaper Than Weekends

Regardless of season, Tuesday to Thursday departures are generally cheaper than Friday to Sunday stays.

This is because:

• Weekend demand is higher

• Short breaks are more popular over Fridays

If you can travel midweek, you’ll almost always find better rates.

Avoid Peak UK School Holidays

The most expensive times to book:

• Easter holidays

• Summer holidays (late July–August)

• October half term

• Christmas and New Year

During these periods, both tickets and accommodation are at their highest due to demand from UK and European families.

Book Early for the Best Deals

Disneyland Paris typically releases holiday packages up to 12–18 months in advance. Booking early often means:

• Lower deposits

• Access to early booking discounts

• More hotel and room type availability

Consider Staying Off-Site

If your priority is saving money, look at hotels in nearby areas such as:

• Val d’Europe

• Serris

These locations are one RER stop away from the parks and often significantly cheaper than staying on-site.

The cheapest time to book Disneyland Paris is unsurprisingly usually during off-peak school periods in late winter and early autumn, particularly midweek.

If you’re able to avoid UK school holidays and plan ahead, you can experience all the magic for far less than peak-season prices.

After all, the magic feels just as special when you’ve bagged a bargain.
