For total clarity, this post is sponsored. Leesa sleep UK kindly sent me a mattress to try out with the view to post a completely honest, all me review. So that’s that you’re getting!
My old mattress was just that, old. I kinda put off buying a new one for so long with having Jasper that I’d forgotten what a good mattress felt like. I just kinda sunk into my usual spot and slept in anyway I could. Add to the matter I’ve just had a baby boy, Jasper and you’re in for a disturbed nights sleep (he’s worth it though!) I think when having a baby, sleep becomes more important than before. It allows you to rest, rejuvenate and prepare for the day ahead. I suppose one of the best things to do is ensure that your mattress is in tip top condition to help with the sleep that you can squeeze in between night feeds/teething cries and those little random smiles at 2am.
When my mattress arrived it was HEAVY. Like my UPS guy told me not to touch it without someone else around. Me being me though, 8 months out of surgery gave it a good go. I reckon I could have got it up the stairs, but it was a lot easier with assistance from Joe. Unboxing was a delight. I practically tore the whole packaging with anticipation of a good night’s sleep. It was really easy to unravel and before you know it it was inflating on the bed (is inflating the right word here?)
With it fully arisen it was time to test. Jasper first, of course. He rolled around, pulled at the fabric, became memorised by the beautiful stripe design and fell asleep very happy and quickly on it for a nap. We’d later discover it was the same for us, only it was so comfortable that we just passed out. I felt slightly guilty putting Jasper in his cot – Leesa do you make Cot mattresses yet? With them being insanely breathable, maybe there’s a market for it.
I found some tips and tricks online to getting the most and making your Leesa Mattress last. Included were rotating your mattress to distribute usage and using a mattress protector sheet. I’ll be doing both as I intend to make it last as long as possible.
The Leesa mattress trumps the 3 mattresses I’ve previously tries in my lifetime. Not only on it’s quality, fit and style but best of all, Leesa have an amazing company policy. If you don’t love it, you can return it within 100 nights for a full refund. ADD to this that they’ll then donate this mattress to charity then you know you’re dealing with a good company. They donate 1 mattress for every 10 sold too, so they seem to be quite a conscious company.
Since using this, our sleep quality has improved. I won’t lie about the quantity. With the heat, Jasper has been up a lot but it does mean that when we are awake we’re much more comfortable.
