Last Saturday I had the absolute pleasure of attending MoonPig‘s #MerrierTogether event at Revolution in Leeds. The event (which promised to shed a little Christmas Spirit) did not disappoint. My gal pal Amy and I headed over to Leeds on the train from Hull ready to spread Christmas Cheer for all to hear (corny I know). From mulled wine, to Christmas Wreath Making and a visit from ole Saint Nick himself, I was fa la la la la-ing before the night was out. Here’s a summary of the day:
Crafting
After a brief introduction into the workings of the head office of Moonpig we were section off into teams to tackle our Christmas activities. We were placed on the Wreath making table first. Something I took utter delight in as I love a good craft session, and those who followed me last year on social will recognise my obsession with a good ole bushy decoration.
Our instructor was clear and patient. I couldn’t get to grips with her method of bow making but thankfully other bloggers helped me out (thanks girls!) After wrapping some ribbon, twirling our holly and sprinkling our glitter we were having a jolly ole time and ready to move to the next table.
Our second craft (which I unfortunately didn’t photograph) included Christmas Sack decorating. We each got given a plain sack and some fabric pens and were let loose to design our own gift sacks!
Cocktails
I love a good cocktail making session like any other blogger does. Fortunately there were options for both alcoholic beverages and mocktails. I went for my personal fave, a mojito and we were entered into a little competition to make our own creation. Unfortunately, I lost and had to down a shot of chilli vodka (bleugh).
Christmas Markets
The event location was utterly perfect, a short walk from the station and directly next to the Christmas Market. After we’d been sent on our way with a bag of goodies (thanks again Moonpig!) We headed for a walk around the market to take in the festive atmosphere.
I had a wonderful day and it’s definitely got me into the festive spirit! Have you attended any Christmas events before?
