When it comes to our bedroom, we’ve always kept things fairly plain. I’ve avoided putting images on the wall because indecisive me couldn’t make her mind up on the style of prints I’d like for my bedroom. Think about it, the bedroom is one of the most important rooms in the house. Everything in my bedroom revolves around the bed. I find the bed such a happy place (hello sleep) and therefore my bedroom is one of my favourite rooms in the house. If you think about your bedroom space, you want it to be stylish, comfortable, cosy, clean, and all of those factors helped me choose my theme for wall art.
Thankfully, I didn’t have to search the internet long to discover THE best place to pick up some posters (and their matching frames) was Desenio. You may remember Desenio from a previous collaboration, but just incase you don’t. Desenio are an online company who sell fantastic prints and posters to suit every style. They make it super easy to buy frames that fit perfect and their order process is simple and quick. If you’re struggling for inspiration, they can even help you with wall ideas.
When it came to planning my bedroom, it didn’t take me long to realise I wanted a sleek look above my bed. Simplistic and stylish. I opted for these two beautiful posters that complimented each other perfectly. A simple outline of a female figure, which reminded me of Picasso and one of my favourite phrases ‘always look on the bright side of life’.
For my other wall, I wanted to add a little pop of colour. Largely my room is decorated in clean, monochrome colours. I’m in love with European cities and when I do wake up in a morning it’s nice to let my brain go off for a little wander and imagine being somewhere else before coming round and realising I’m back in Hull. With a touch of warm hues, I have added two new pieces to my wall that are both simplistic and characteristic. If you’re thinking of doing something similar then I recommend a series of 3 images (things are often more aesthetically pleasing to the eye in odd numbers!)
