Recently, I’ve had a few people join my lil ole online world and it occurred to me that if you haven’t been following me for a while then you may not understand what I’m all about. So here’s a little introduction (an introduce me if you like), some information about the content I produce and the hope that you get something out of it!
I’m Violet, I’m 27 years old at the time of publishing this. I’m a wife, a mother, and a content creator. I create photographs, videos and stories every single day to highlight little speckles of joy in my own life in the hope that you can mirror and find them in your own.
Years ago, I was a travel agent, I loved travelling and began a blog called ‘The Musings of the Travelling’. I wrote about historical facts, where to shop, where to eat and most importantly, my love for travel. However, when I left the travel industry I felt like I needed a change. I wasn’t JUST about travelling. I had much more I wanted to put my voice to and so ‘I am No Shrinking Violet began’, primarily a plus size fashion blog, I posted photos of outfits, local events, and it very quickly spiralled into a lifestyle blog. Before I knew it, I rebranded under my own name and off she went! I now write about anything that pops into my head and I love it being this way.
My blog is a place to read and join in the conversation on the topics I’ve written about. Whether that be parenting or baking, clothing or sustainability.
Here’s a couple of facts about me to help introduce myself:
- Yes I’m actually named after a colour (as are my sisters)
- I live in Hull and I’m pretty darn proud of it
- I have two children called Jasper & Goldie
- I have a miniature schnauzer called Oscar
- I’m obsessed with Italy (I even got married there)
