Geocaching makes a brilliant date! If you’re new to it, then Geocaching is basically a real life treasure hunt where you follow clues to find something – sometimes a small treasure, and usually there’s a logbook for you to sign too. The best part about it is that it’s totally free! All you need is the Geocaching app, and you’ll be able to see the clues for all the nearby caches.
Geocaching dates are really versatile as you could just choose to find one or two together, or you could spend a whole day hunting in a new area for lots of different caches!
Following clues together and hunting for treasure is a great way to get to know the person you’re dating, and the local area too!
Arcades
Arcades can be fantastic places for dates if you’re looking for something a bit old school. Whether you’re going as a first date, or it’s one of your bdsm contacts there are retro video games, or even claw machines ready for you. If you’re into BDSM dating, then this could be a fun way to find out just who will submit and who will dominate the leadership boards in the arcade centre.
Many towns and cities have started opening up giant arcades full of fun games to explore, and lots of them host adult only evenings which is perfect for dates. Head on over, see who can get the highest score on Pac-Man, tire yourselves out on the dance mat, and finish the evening with some arcade pizza – sounds perfect, right?!
Comedy club
Find your local comedy club, take your date along and settle in for an evening of laughs with a few drinks. Each cook an elaborate menu for each other over a few dates, or take control of a course each for just one date. Set a theme – favourite foods, meals that remind you of something specific, go wild and see how much you can learn about each other!
Festival
Find a festival near you, and head over, no matter how absurd it is. The chances are you’ll end up listening to some local poetry or looking at paintings by an obscure artist, but you might just find yourselves in amongst Morris Dancers, aquatic life enthusiasts, or chess players. Whatever it is, go with the flow, see how much you can learn, and don’t be afraid to have a giggle with your date about the situation!
