*This post is a collaboration but all words and opinions about Kent are my own.
If you’re new around here hello! We love to chat about all things here and really, that includes dating. I’ve talked before about being your own date, but sometimes, we love a good old fashioned date with another person. I’m a big fan of exploring both my home town and trying new places when it comes to dating so if you’re dating in Kent, then this post is literally FOR YOU. If you’re out and about on the dating scene in this gorgeous area, there is plenty to do! You’ll find an extensive list here of suggestions for that all important first date. You can thank me later.
Rent a Riverboat
Imagine, rowing along down the beautiful streams, gazing up at the glorious buildings. Canterbury punting offer really romantic (I’m talking violin on board) rows around this beautiful part of the country. It’s sure to be an incredible date to remember, and if all goes well, you’ll be rowing in the same direction (see what I did there?)
Explore a beautiful town
If you love a little bit of exploration and this is your ideal way to get to know someone in neutral territory, then a trip to Tunbridge Wells could be just what the love Doctor ordered. Maybe you’ve met your match in the local pub, or most likely on a Kent dating site but you’ll be sure to do more in person dates if you try a traditional afternoon tea together in this iconic spa town.
Have a tipple
Whilst Kent has so many gorgeous wine spots, it also has a cracking spot for beer. The Curious Brewery have an in house experience that allow you to try out some award winning beer. We all know a little bit of beer is sure to get the conversation flowing.
Go back in time
If you’ve met your date on a Kent dating site , you might be looking to wow them. Why not explore a 14th century Manor House at Penshurst Place, Penshurst. This spot was once used as a hunting lodge for King Henry VIII. So whilst he matches weren’t so good, your date will turn the tide. I can literally get lost in places like this and it’s one of the things I still do every month!
Go conventional
Want to keep things simple? No problem. I have you covered with the fail safe date option. Westwood Cross Shopping Centre, Broadstairs is home to 50+ stores and a 10 screen cinema. So why not take your date for some food, then you can relax and unwind to a film. One of the great things about a cinema night is that if you’re finding conversation difficult… you can go at your own pace and take a breather during the film.
I hope you’ve found this list useful! I’m off to book another visit to my next estate to wander around. For more date ideas I really recommend checking out Visit Kent as they have an abundance of date ideas on their website!
Which one will you try?
Violet x
