*This post is a collaboration but all words and opinions about Lincolnshire are my own.
So you’ve got a date on the cards. Thankfully you’re in one of the most beautiful areas of the UK. Lincolnshire, an area which is actually famous for it’s windmills, has mixed terrain of the beautiful East coastline and midlands territory. I’m from Hull, which is literally just over the bridge from this beautiful area. Having spent a lot of weekends over there and quite a few on day dates out, I know a few places that will be a little bit different for a first date.
Now all you have to do is decide the perfect spot for you to leave a lasting impression so that you can keep going on in your date journey. You’ve matched with your ideal partner, and now it’s time to get into the swing of things. Whether you’re thinking of a chilled night at the beach or a scenic walk around historic gardens, I have you covered.
Get Fish and Chips on Cleethorpes Beach
Lincolnshire has a range of beautiful beaches. Maplethorpe is well known for it’s beautiful scenic views, whilst Skegness beach is known to be a romantic spot. Cleethorpes beach offers something a little different. If you’re Lincolnshire dating, you could take your date for a Fish and Chip supper and even drop into the shops along the front after. Papas Fish and Chips is located here and literally my favourite place to get a haddock and chips. You won’t be disappointed.
Visit the beautiful Lincoln Castle
If you live in Lincolnshire, you’ll have heard of the historic Lincoln Castle. Take your date and treat them like royalty as you wander where kings and queens once explored. If you’re into history, this spot is FULL of it and you’ll have plenty to talk about. Why not hold hands as you trek along the famous medieval wall walk? It’s based in the centre of Lincoln and entry to the grounds are free. Who said interesting dates had to be expensive?
Go to Easton Walled Gardens , Grantham
It’s taken over 450 years to build the Easton Walled Gardens, so is it really any surprise that they’re literally blooming with beauty? In the summertime, this place really fizzes with beautiful flowers in every corner. In winter, it’s equally as beautiful especially when coated with a dust of snow. If you’re into Lincolnshire dating and a little bit green fingered then this is the perfect spot for you. It’s boarders are filled year round and they even have a vegetable patch to explore. You could take your date for a spot of afternoon tea if you fancy something a little ‘classier’ that will leave a lasting impression.
As you can tell, Lincolnshire is rich with hot spots for dates (and I’ve only listed three!) I’m a sucker for the beautiful historical spots in this area but the tranquil countryside and beach life is pretty much the perfect escape if you’re wanting to impress. So go on, tell me, which of these take your fancy?
