Manchester is generally known as the Northern Powerhouse of the UK, and with very good reason. If you’ve never visited, then consider taking a trip to experience it’s buzzing nightlife, amazing music scene, and phenomenal eateries. Whatever your tastes and interests are, and whatever your budget is, there will be something to absolutely delight you in Manchester, so get the grandparents to watch the kids for a night, and have a wonderful adults only trip!

Manchester Nightlife
There is absolutely no doubt that Manchester is a real night time city. As the sun goes down, the city truly comes alive and is a hive of activity. Wherever you go in the city, you’ll find amazing bars and restaurants to enjoy your evening in, and some really fantastic clubs too, if that’s your scene.

The Music Scene
Manchester is famous for the music to have come out of the city, and it’s still a hub for fantastic music. Take a look at what’s on at the O2, or Manchester Opera House to find something to your liking. There is also a thriving classical and jazz scene in Manchester which is wonderful to experience, even if it’s not usually your jam! If you’re watching the pennies then don’t worry, you don’t need to attend a concert to get a feel for the music in the city, as there are always talented buskers all around the city centre. Just take a walk down Market Street and you won’t be disappointed!

Manchester is an incredibly multicultural city, and this is brilliantly reflected in its food. You can find everything from street food to Michelin Star restaurants all within a stone’s throw of each other. Head to the Arndale’s indoor food market, or the Piccadilly food market for just a glimpse of what this vibrant city has to offer!
